Last night marked the 15th Annual Transworld Skateboarding Awards honoring the sports biggest and brightest stars. Going down every year in the heart of Hollywood this party can basically be considered Skateboarding's big night out, where everybody converges on the Avalon Hollywood for five hours of sheer fun. A night where its not uncommon to rub elbows (literally) with your favorite current pro or completely fan out on legends of the past. A night that you remember and think about until the next one rolls around...unless you have so much fun that you accidentally forget-if you get our drift. A night that is special, and this year made it that much better as we were fortunate enough to watch our very own Guy Mariano double-fist it and take home two trophies; one for the coveted "Readers' Choice" award and the other for "Video Part of the Year" due to his sensational role in Girl/Chocolate's Prettysweet (which also won the "Video of the Year" award).

When all was said and done our friend Mr. Mariano actually graced the stage three times, which is actually an astounding feat and never seen before 60% win ratio! We honestly couldn't be more happy for Guy, and watching him triumph and graciously accept his awards was so gratifying and we feel couldn't have gone to a more deserving individual. Guy is seriously one of the coolest, most down to earth individuals we've ever known and we want to give a big cheers to Transworld and their readers for nailing this one right on the head! Just whatever you do don't call it a comeback...

Last week we cruised down to Simi Valley and met up with our boy Mike Mo Capaldi to hang for a day and shoot a video showcasing his upcoming signature collection. What followed, was a day full of laughs, excitement and practical jokes in typical Mike Mo fashion...and we honestly couldn't have had more fun! Well, it's that time of the year again. The month when the boys at The Berrics get together to decide what this years "Battle at the Berrics 6" field is gonna look like-which is of course for those of you who don't know the sport of Skateboarding's ultimate flatland contest...where every year the winner cements himself amongst wizardry status. Anyhow, before we start talking too much about hobbits and wizards we wanted to let you know that our man, Mike Mo Capaldi, (of course) has been chosen to represent "Team Regular" in what is sure to be one hell of a fight against "Team Goofy" as Skateboarding decides what dominant foot they wanna put forward. We're practically done talking now so why don't you just head over to The Berrics yourself and watch Mike Mo and Austyn Gillete get this war started!

*Also, stay tuned right here throughout the season as we continue to keep you updated on Mo's progress. I'm sure you recall last year when he went all the way to the championship and narrowly lost to PJ Ladd...well, this year, we can only imagine how hungry he is...

This past Friday night we rolled out to the long anticipated premiere of Girl & Chocolate Skateboards new film "Pretty Sweet" which went down in DTLA at the Orpheum theatre. Well, as could be expected, the name did indeed live up to expectation and with so many banger skaters on two teams this film is labeled by us as nothing other than legendary! Shot on five different film/camera formats and with special effects galore, without saying too much or ruining anything we will say simply that this movie will be relevant and a landmark for years to come. The whole movie included notable performances but we wanna give a shout to our boys MikeMo and Guy Mariano who absolutely killed it. Thanks again to Girl for a spectacular evening and we won't even begin to get into the after party...just look at the photos below! Oh yeah, and in case you haven't seen our case we made for this movie yet you best peep it and get yoself one now...
